You haven’t heard from us in awhile, in part, because we’ve been busy writing grant proposals. And we just learned that that work has paid off.
We’ve been awarded an NEH Digital Humanities Advancement Grant to begin designing a website on urban renewal in Kingston, Newburgh, and New York City–as well as Albany. This new website will draw on four amazing collections of photographs, as well as the expertise of Kingston filmmaker Lynn Woods, Newburgh City Historian Mary McTamaney, Brown University professor Samuel Zipp, and several others who have been generous to us with their time and advice.
We’re excited to begin work next month with Juliet Jacobson and Don Button of the award-winning design firm, Digital Gizmo.
Note: Our thanks to Tom Daley of Newburgh (photograph featured above) for sharing his work with us.
Congratulations! I look forward to seeing the finished product!
